| In 1994 due to demands from the government to increase landfill tax even
further, we under took a feasibility study which analysed the recyclability
of all inert materials including stone, brick, concrete and tarmac. The
study also involved the re-education of contractors to separate clay and
recyclable products. The results of the study showed that 70%of all inert
materials could be recycled, saving companies money on landfill tax and
benefiting the environment as a whole. Due to the results, we recognised that we could provide an additional service to our customers as well as being environmentally conscious. In conjunction with the Environment Agency and the local Authority, we made the decision to construct the first purpose built reclamation centre in Lancashire. |
|
| The benefits of this • Environmentally conscious • Educates the construction, demolition and building industries in environmental needs • Recycles stone, bricks, concrete and tarmac into crushed recycled aggregates between 100mm and dust. • Products such as recycled stone, topsoil and screened soil is available in 25kg to 1 tonne bags as well as full wagon loads of upto 20 tonnes. • Saves your company money on landfill tax and quarried stone tax |
